From the BBMG (Bethel Babtist Music Group) to the new Sunday School, God's power has been shown in the growth of Bethel Babtist's Filipino Youth Ministry.

"Reverend! I.M. Righteous! Yes! The very name that makes everybody say 'AMEN!' Uh...humbly speaking, of course.": One of the catch-phrases pronounced by Reverend "I.M. Righteous' ( R.R. Abrot); Heavenly Hotel's "Righteous Preacher" who thinks he can get to heaven by being "good". In reality, he doesn't realize the true concept of salvation.

"Hold All Autographs please." Little ...well, we're not sure which of the twins he is, boldly squeaked right before "Gloria Glittery Glamorous" (GiGi for short) waltzes in. GiGi expects her name to be written in the Great Book of Life; because after all, "I'm famous!"

Heavenly Hotel was a hysterical and entertaining play about how people often think that fame, money, and good deeds can get you into heaven. When the only way to truly get into Heaven is to come to the saving knowledge of Christ; which is what Christian Chapel portrays, closing the play as the only one who has "reservations" in the Book Of Life; For he was the only one who had truly gotten saved.

For Several months the youth group made a number of trips to the ice-skating rink. For many, it was their first time. For others, it was a memory "reminiscer". Robert Zuvich could be seen wizzing past all the rest, while JeJay Santiago could be seen falling on his knees, sliding across the ice claiming it was "fun to fall." Joanna Abrot and Kristin spent the first half hour clinging to eachother for dear life in fear of falling head over heels (which they did a couple of times). Many others leisurely enjoyed a game of "ice tag". At the end, several people munched "the world's best fries", as Joanna Abrot called them, from the snack stand and watched a couple minutes of the ice hockey practice.

"Striiiike!" Tita Rina Abrot exclaimed as she watched all nine pins tumble over eachother. Kristin, Joanna and Abby cheered. It was Kristin's first time bowling, and it must have been Joanna and Abby's ten billionth time. Laughter, joy and surprise (that some had made strikes) was shared that night. The Bethel Babtist's Filipino Youth Ministry was having so much fun that it was some time after midnight before they left.

The music group was formed by Pastor Rudy, Naming it simply, and practically, BBMG (Bethel Babtist Music Group). One doesn't need a catchy name when you are part of the BBMG, for God's blessing and talent is enough to make you tingle. From Jimboy who picked up the Recorder and could play in a matter of minutes, to Joseph who learned how to pick notes on the piano as quickly as you could say "amen", we can certainly see that God is most definitely watching over the BBMG.

Only a couple of months ago, Kuya Samuel start the Sunday School for young people. It was quite successful. They sang songs, and studied the bible. Young people from ages ranging from a couple months old (Eran) to young people in their late twenties attended.

The Filipino Youth Ministry is growing rapidly, not only in number but in spirituality.
